Since 2004, Mr. Albert has focused his practice on all phases and types
of personal injury actions, both large and small. He began as defense
counsel, gaining valuable perspective and experience representing insurance
companies and defendants in auto and falldown matters. Since 2007, he
has focused almost exclusively on representing Plaintiff’s in auto
and falldown matters, as well as medical malpractice actions, seeking
to obtain just and fair compensation for his injured clients. Other matters
have included complex employment discrimination matters, education law,
construction defect litigation, and criminal matters.
Mr. Albert has acted as primary litigation counsel and second trial chair
on many large and complex injury matters, resulting in multiple verdicts
and settlements ranging from $500,000 to over $2,000,000, and first chair
on multiple successful trials. He has handled 4 successful appeals, including
the often cited, Bender v. Walgreen Eastern Co., 399 N.J. Super. 584 (App.
Div. 2008); Cited by, N.J.S.A. and Pressler, N.J. Court Rules (2010 ed.).
He has been published in the New Jersey State Bar Association Newsletter,
Dictum (Taming Depositions, Vol. 2, No. 1, August, 2008).
He has been a member of the New Jersey Association for Justice since 2013
and is a current member of the Essex County Bar Association. He joined
the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary in 2015, and as a Boat Crewman, routinely
participates in patrols of area waterways.
Alan K. Albert obtained his BA from the University of Pennsylvania in 1997
and his JD from Brooklyn Law School in 2003. He has been admitted to practice
in New Jersey State and Federal Courts since 2004.
